JoshuaJenkins.com is maintained by the non-TLD'ed, non-camel-cased version of JoshuaJenkins.com. (Me). I live in Portland, OR as of spring 2008 and love the crap out of it. I work for a major technology company but I spend my free time doing the things I write about on the site. I travel extensively for work and take a lot of pictures. I ride my bicycle lots of places and am currently flirting with going automobile-less. I wear size 10.5 - 11 shoes, depending on the brand.
The Site
The site is run off of Wordpress, though someday I hope to port it Django. I've put a lot of work in to the design, though it may not seem as much. I'd rather buck the Web 2.0 fad in exchange for something a little more timeless. Sites like A List Apart and Subtraction are huge inspirations.
I respect sites that take time to look at the little things like typography and use of available space in creative ways. I tried to do that here.
That being said this site is a constant work in progress so don't be surprised to see little changes here and there as I have (hopefully good) ideas.
